Virgin Trains Ticketing sought to raise awareness of their ticketing app by putting a very Virgin spin on the traditional ticketing inspector – and a partnership that would surprise and delight commuters. Beyond partnered Virgin with Alison Hammond, who aligned perfectly with the brief of a comedic, relatable talent with mass appeal, who would spend the day as the ‘Chief Points Officer’ travelling the station handing out rewards big and small to those who downloaded the VTT app.


Beyond worked extensively with the client on the talent selection. The initial brief was for a comedian; however the budget and creative did not suit the high-profile names required. Beyond worked to provide more relatable names with a comedic/fun personality to accommodate the budget and ensure they worked well for an activation that required them to engage with the public.
